EPD electromagnetic sensing platform, used with any ablation catheter, will be the first to enable real-time EP ablation lesion assessment. In doing so, it will substantially improve procedural efficiency and efficacy, the two greatest problems facing the $3 billion EP industry today. EPD D700 pioneering system will provide the operator with real-time data on the permanency, transmurality and continuous nature of ablation lesions formed during AF ablation procedures. Furthermore, using the D700 disposable electromagnetic sensor with any cardiac catheter will enable accurate 3D navigation. To date, this has mostly been achieved through the use of a limited selection of catheters and corresponding navigation systems. Accordingly, EPD technology will lower the entry barriers for new catheter manufacturers to enter the market and therefore provide more options for both physicians and their patients.
